What To Wear To: Valentine's Day Date

I'm starting a new series here on my blog called "What To Wear To..." where I share styling ideas and tips for different occasions and events. Hopefully, it'll help provide some inspiration when you have a special event and find yourself asking: but what do I wear?!

I thought Valentine's Day would be a great way to start (you have exactly two shopping days left sis. If you're ordering online with overnight shipping, today is your last online shopping day), so I wanted to give you guys a cute outfit idea for a Valentine's Day Date.

Personally, for Valentine's Day I'm going for: Grown, Sexy, and Classy

One of my favorite bougie on a budget looks is a cute monochromatic set. The key is to find a set that is budget-friendly, made of good quality material and fits well (double-check that size chart sis!). Bonus points if some of the pieces are made of a material that flows nicely when you move (like the jacket in the set I'm wearing).

All of the reasons that I mentioned are what attracted me to this set I bought from Fashion Nova. The Everly 3 Piece Pant Set (Retail: $64.99) comes with matching high waist wide-leg pants, a halter top (that ties at the neck and back), and a 3/4 length sleeve long flowy jacket. Also, baby blue is trending right now, and I love how the color looks on my skin.

Bougie on A  Budget Tip: According to the Valentine's Day email blast Fashion Nova sent out recently, you can currently get 30% off your order when you use code: BEMINE. There's also currently a promotion for $5 overnight shipping on an order of $75 or more.

I wanted to keep my accessories simple but effective and chose to pair my outfit with rhinestone heels, so I grabbed my Daisie heels in "Crystal" by Steve Madden and a triangle rhinestone purse I purchased at Forever21. I used the same strategy with my jewelry and added a rhinestone necklace and bracelet from TJMaxx.

What are your plans for Valentine's Day? Let me know in the comments!

Stylishly Yours,
Theresa Seyi
