New Year, Big Goals #BossUp

Happy New Year!

I'm not even going to hop on the "New Year, New Me" bandwagon, because I've attempted that in the past...and I know better LOL. I've learned that any changes that I truly want to make in the New Year I need to plan for. In fact I need to start them before the New Year, so that by the time I get there my habits have changed. I wanna get myself together, and my stuff in order. It's time to grow and boss up in all areas of my life.

I just wanted to share with you guys some of the goals I've set for myself / things I want to change this year:

1) I wanna spend more time with God. So that means making it a point to take time to pray, and read my Bible first in the morning. Not hop on the 'gram, go through my texts, and then read a scripture or two. I recently watched War Room (which was good, it made some good points), and it really had me thinking: Yo, how is my prayer life?

2) Say "No" more. If something doesn't somehow connect to my purpose or God's kingdom, then I'm good cuh. Holla at somebody else.

3) Be smarter with my finances. I need to build up my savings, and establish my credit. I've done paperwork to have my deposits from work split, so that some goes into an ICE (in case of emergency) savings account. I also got a credit card a few months ago, and so far so good. I don't use it that often, but when I do...I make sure that I only charge what I can pay off that same day. If I ain't got the funds, I ain't charging it.

4) To pursue my purpose. My greatest fear is to live and die, and not do what God put me on this earth to do. This year I wanna make it a point, to get clarity about my purpose and pursue it.

5) To build my brand and my blog. I will be investing in some lighting this year for my videos, and an editing program. I also plan on being more consistent, and networking with other content creators in my field (style, beauty, inspiration). If you create content in that field, holla at me in the comments so I can check out your stuff.

6) To travel more. I already have a trip to ATL planned with some friends. I wanna get my hair laid while we're there, so I'll be looking for some hair salons.

7) To refocus. I've kind of taken having a romantic relationship off my radar this year. I mean I'd like one...but it has to be God centered. It has to be with a man that's passionate about pursuing God. I wanna be equally yoked, and equally dope. In the meantime, I'ma just focus on me and Jesus.

So those are some of the things that I'm going to focus on this year y'all. What are some of your goals for the New Year? Let me know in the comments!
