Seven Days of Style: Day 5

Yikes. I got a little derailed with "Seven Days of Style" (life happened. Shame on me for not scheduling things properly), but let's pick up where we left off.

F I V E:

Filter Yourself.

No, I'm not talking about on the 'gram (though I do love a good photo filter). Once you've collected your style inspiration, and found common themes (do you like things that are feminine? preppy? glamorous? classic? edgy? sporty?) try to keep them in mind when you're putting together your looks. Whatever sort of look it is that you prefer, that's your filter (your interpretation). When you put together new looks and experiment with your fashions, try to add touches that are consistent with that filter. By no means does that mean that you have to dress the same way all the time (being able to switch it up and experiment is part of what makes fashion so fun), however try to keep your "filter" in mind when you put together a look.

One example would be this look at the beginning of this post.  It's on the sporty side, however I added feminine and flashy touches with my metallic gold sneakers and

Ideally you want to find a way to wear the things that tickle your fancy, in a way that flatters your body. Style is something that's so personal, and it's a really fun way to express yourself. It's not about just buying the same outfits as everybody else. It's all about figuring out what you love, and how to make it werk for you.
