#Goals

It's September.

That means that we're more than halfway through the year, which leaves me just a few months to complete some of my goals that I set for myself this year. On one hand it's exciting, because it means that the holidays aren't too far away...but on the other hand it's a reminder that I need to get my act together ASAP.

Here are some of the things I want to make sure that I accomplish before the new year starts:

1) Work on building my relationship with Christ. I'm a Christian, and my relationship with God is super important to me. I'm trying to make more of an effort to spend time praying in the mornings, and reading my bible first off. I'm thankful to have established a solid sisterhood of friends that have the same goal of putting God first. We meet monthly to have bible study (we follow the Her Binder Project devotional calendar), and on a daily basis we encourage each other in our walks with Christ.

2) To excel in my studies at school. A's are always the goal. There's a saying at my school that "D's get degrees" but um, those won't look cute on my transcript.

3) To continue building my brand: Fly Fierce Fab. Over the past year I bought my domain name, learned how to use FCPX, have been more consistent with making YouTube videos, and really worked on trying to bring you guys better quality content (I'm working on getting together a fleeky background and lighting situation). I really love blogging and making videos, it's an awesome creative outlet for me...and I hope you guys enjoy the content that I create =)

4) To travel. I already know that I'm going to Gen Beauty NYC, so I'll be able to check this off my list.

5) To make more time for myself. I'm always on the on the go, and I feel like almost every minute of every day is scheduled. Very rarely on that schedule is time for me, myself, and I.

6) To get back to working out consistently. I fell off once I started working a lot more *sigh* . I need to find more fun workouts, because that encourages me to make things happen. I really love zumba and aerial yoga. I'm also doing The Color Run again this year.

7) To remember that it's ok to say: NO. I always feel bad when I have to say no with helping others with things, even when it means going out of my way to accommodate them. The thing is, when I don't say no...they wind up chilling, and I'm running around like crazy. No bueno.

8) To spend more time with my goddaughter. She's growing so fast, and she's the best little girl that I know.

9) To learn to be content in my single season, and allow God to prepare me for who He has for me

10) To remember not to be anxious, and just be still. It's hard sometimes, because there are so many things I want to do and accomplish in life...and I really want to make them happen. I have to remember is that all I can do is give my best, do my part, and trust God to work everything out.

Here's to making the rest of 2015 a great one, and enjoying every moment that I'm blessed to experience. Let's laugh as much as we breathe, and love as much as we live.

What are some of your goals that you're hoping to accomplish by the end of the year? I've found that putting my goals out there, and making them known helps keep me on track to working towards them.

I challenge you to post some of your goals on your social media and add #Goals to your caption. Let's make some big things happen this year y'all!
