12 Things I Learned in 2012

Ciao Bellas,
I'm really looking forward to this new year and all the new opportunities, blessings, and experiences it holds. As this year comes to a close, I think it'd be nice to reflect on 12 of the biggest lessons that life taught me this year...

1) I learned what it truly means to have faith that things will get better, even when you can't see your way out of, around, over, or through life's storms. 2012 was crazy for me, so many things happened and it felt like thing after thing just kept coming up in my life. I found myself in a place of having no other choice or option but to trust and believe that God was (and IS) working it all out for my good. "This is what keeps me going on those days when I feel like giving up." - James Fortune, "I Believe"

2) Just because you've moved on, doesn't mean that somebody won't keep popping up in your life in other ways, or that you won't find yourself thinking about them sometimes. You just have to keep moving on, just because they're on your mind doesn't mean that they have to stay there. Keep it moving.

3) And God is a healer... no matter how broken a relationship in your family may seem.

4) How to sew!

5) Sometimes you just gotta roll up your sleeves and get to work. Don't allow yourself to be intimidated, sometimes after you do what you gotta do you realize that it looked harder than it actually was (I learned this when I decided to paint my room over the summer. I've never painted before in my life, but it came out beautiful).

6) The importance of knowing and remembering my worth, especially in the business world

7) The importance of sticking with what you know that works for your hair. I'm sad to say that I suffered a little bit of a setback after achieving some growth on my hair journey (not a lot, but I wasn't happy about *needing* a trim). I got a little happy with trying a lot of new and different stuff on my hair, and apparently it was happy the way it was haha. It's ok though, a setback is just a setup for a comeback!

8) That I need to make sure that I take time for myself. No stress, no mess in 2013!!

9) What it means to grow into a friendship.

10) I'm a really good teacher.

11) To constantly remind myself of the little things that I'm grateful for on a daily basis.

12) Sometimes you just need to take things moment by moment, and that's ok.

There you have it Bella's, 12 of the most important lessons that I learned this year. Hopefully that helps somebody out there.

Stylishly Yours,
Ms. Fab
