MAC Warm and Cozy Collection Goodies

Ciao Bellas,
How was everybody's Christmas?! Mine was really nice and low key, just me and my fam + Chinese take out haha. It was what we needed though, time to just kick back together and relax. We were in a transition phase with our holiday celebrations for the past year (my grandpa passed away last summer, he was a huge part of our lives and our holiday celebrations), but I think we've found our groove now. I got all kinds of fly goodies this year (including this really hott gold metallic short trench coat. Oh my goodness Bella's it is the BUISNESS. Shiny gold buttons, gold thread, and it looks fabulous with the gold heels I got as a gift too. Haha I have a feeling that my guy friends are going to bust out the gold member jokes again, but who cares. Oo and I got Scott Barnes new book! I’ll tell y’all about it tomorrow though, along with my other new MAC goodies), and I used some of my Christmas money and ventured down to my fave MAC counter to check out the Warm and Cozy collection that was officially released today. I was most excited about finally getting my hands on 2N and 3N lipglass that came out with the N Collection a while back, so I checked those out first. 3N didn't do much for me (I'm in the NC45 range, and I wear Studio Fix Powder Foundation in NC55), it was a nice kind of flesh tone nude...but it was very reminiscent of Viva Glam V lipglass on me, but with more of a chestnut tone to it. I chose to pass on it, but if you don't have a lot of fleshy nude colors like that, check it out. 2N is oh so drool worthy! It's a lovely creamy peach nude, with a gold tint. I feel like its Florabundance lipglass for women of color (and most certainly flattering for Bella’s with lighter complexions), so I'll definitely be going back to get more of this color. Along with 2N, the By Candlelight Mineralize Skinfinish was the other highlight of the collection for me. By Candlelight is a really beautiful and shimmery light pink with a gold tint (it sort of reminds me of what Love Nectar lipglass looks like in the bottle), and as my first MSF, it officially rounds out the cheek colors section in my traincase haha (and officially puts Hush Cream Color Base on my Back 2 MAC list). I didn't even bother to try out the other MSF released with the collection, as the swatches I saw online didn't really peak my interest (along with the rest of the collection). Overall Warm and Cozy is very much a nice warm nude collection, so if you need some staple colors in your life this would be a good place to start.
Stylishly Yours,
Ms. Fab
