Review: MAC's Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation

Ciao Bellas,
Saturday night I ventured over to my fave MAC counter, and asked one of the girls to color match me to MAC's Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation. So we walked over to the foundations, she pulled one out in NC55 (and after looking at my face when she told me what color it was, she told me not to worry because it runs pretty light) and swatched it on my jawline. It was a bit lighter than what I had on (Select Tint + Blot Powder), yet it blended really well meeting both my and Momma Fab's approval. I'm not going to lie, I was wondering if it only looked like it matched because of the somewhat wonky lighting inside of Macy's, but I purchased it as I buy stuff from the girls at that counter all the time, so I trust them not to sell me something that looks crazy. I did however proceed to inspect the bit she put on my face in each mirror I went by in the mall (much to the annoyance of Momma Fab. Don't give me that look, y'all know you'd do it too haha). I've been rocking it ever since, and I must say the color matches quite well (even passing my flash photography test!). I apply it using the sponge that comes with it (however I will most likely invest in a brush to use for this), and it looks pretty natural while giving me light coverage (though it seems to be somewhat buildable) which is exactly what I've been looking for. I think that I need to invest in a primer to use under it though as I have an oily T-Zone, but other than that I didn't really need to touch up too much. On a side note, since this is a powder foundation I suggest that you make sure that your skin is well moisturized if you try it. Neither dry and cakey, or super shiny and oily are good looks Bella's. Overall in my book, Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation is a keeper!

Stylishly Yours,
Ms. Fab
