"Hands that give, also receive." - Unknown

Ciao Bellas,
Today we held an outreach event at my Church, and sooo many people came out and were blessed by it. In effort to get the word out, yesterday one of the pastor's and I walked the neighborhood to pass out flyers, and this morning I went with a few women to the local homeless shelter and surrounding area to invite more people. It was hot as could be outside (and I was out there for 5 hours standing right under the sun), I was sweating like a linebacker (I was informed by a friends mom that my shoulders were sweating. Attractive, no?), I'm exhausted, I had to put up with some haters, and I now have a farmers tan...but I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat. Giving back through the means of my time, money, possessions, whatever, is something that I love to do (I know that I've been blessed to be a blessing unto others, and like it says in the Bible: *To whom much is given, much is required.). I was so touched to see so many people come out, and be fed both by food, and spiritually. There were some comments from people about how they didn't know where their next meal was going to come from, and that they were thankful for what was given to them today. That really touched my heart, and I know in the future when we do things like this at my Church (and other places, but I believe that giving back starts at home) I intend on being involved. So Bella's, my point here is whenever you get the chance to give back, take it. Sometimes people think that the donations of the most value are monetary. While yes those help, in my opinion it's most valuable when you just show somebody that you care. I'll never forget how many peoples (young, old, toddlers, the guy from up the street, and the people who walked up almost at least a mile and a half from the homeless shelter) faces lit up while we served them, and just said a simple "God Bless You."
Stylishly Yours,
Ms. Fab
