Women of Color Friendly Megan Fox Look

Ciao Bellas,
After the MAC Class I took a couple of day's ago, all of us attendees were able to get our makeup done, and use the $50 Gift Card we purchased (it was essentially like our ticket to the event). I had been looking at a Megan Fox Celeb Look A Like Face Chart at the counter earlier (It was a head shot of the look shes rocking here), and I'd been eye ing some of her makeup looks lately so I decided to go with this. Now we didn't use the exact colors on the chart, as I'm far from Megan's color (Loud and proud NC45ish in the hizzouse!), so this is the more Women of Color friendly version. On the exact face chart, I think I recall seeing Mystery Eye Shadow used to fill in the brows (which I also use), Shroom Eye Shadow on the Lid...and to highlight? Mulch in the crease (*I think*)...we used the same lipstick...and that's all I can recall from that (sorry!). Here's the breakdown of the look my manager friend hooked me up with:

  • Oil Control Lotion all over the face using the #190 Brush (your girl has a oily T-Zone y'all).

  • Prep and Prime Skin Primer on the T-Zone, under my eyes, and on my chin using the same brush (I must say that these products worked really well, hoursss after I got my makeup done with no touch ups what so ever, I still looked fine).

  • Indianwood Paint Pot on the lid.

  • Mulch Eye Shadow lid to crease, and in the inner corner.

  • Embark Eye Shadow in the outer v and slightly into the crease.

  • Soba Eye Shadow to highlight under the brow bone (my fave highlight color)

  • Smolder Eye Kohl smudged in the lash line, and outer lower lash line (I think she used the #219 brush to smudge. We usually go with Fluidline for a liner on me, but my friend said that this pencil is what is needed to achieve the smokey eye look).

  • Embark Eye Shadow smudged on top of Smolder (using the same brush).

  • Smolder Eye Kohl smudged on top of that, so your essentially layering.
  • Dazzle Lash Mascara on the lashes.

  • Eye Brow Pencil to fill in brows (didn't catch the color name, but I prefer to use Mystery Eye Shadow like she did last time).

  • Studio Tech Foundation lightly all over the face using the #190 brush (This was my first MAC foundation back in the day, and I still love it. Foundation wise this is my favorite, and while too much for me every day, it's great for when I have performances, photo shoots, and formal events).

  • Mineralize Skinfinish Natural to set, using a fluffy brush.

  • Format Blush on cheeks using the #168 Brush (this isn't a blush color I would of picked out on my own, but it's very pretty and natural on).

  • Light Over Dark Mineralize Blush Duo (both sides) to highlight the cheekbones, nose, forehead, and chin using the #188 Brush.

  • Blend with a fluffy brush.

  • Chestnut Lip Liner (y'all already know that I have mad love for this) to line lips.

  • See Sheer Lipstick on lips (LOVED this). Blend.

  • Queen Bee Lipglass (LE from the Naked Honey Collection. LOVE this. Def a lovely light pink summer lip on it's own, perfect for those easy breezy beach days) on top.
Enjoy!
Stylishly Yours,
Ms. Fab
