10 Makeup Products I Absolutely Adore

Ciao Bellas,
I was going through my makeup case earlier, and I was thinking about putting together a list of 10 Makeup Products I absolutely adore...so here it is! Hopefully this list gives y'all some ideas if your looking for some new products to try, and do feel free to share what some of your must haves are. Let's get this party started:

  1. MAC Select Tint SPF 15. It was discontinued a bit ago (BOO! HISS! Hopefully their just reformulating or something), and I tried the Bare Esentual's Foundation...it was nice, but I just prefer MAC's products for the most part. Like Mimi says, it'll always be my baby.

  2. MAC Blotting Powder in Deep Dark. It's great for keeping oil at bay, and while I don't really have oily skin (just in the T-zone, but hey, who doesn't really), I definitely don't have to reapply as often as I did when I used regular pressed powder.

  3. Bobbi Brown Blush in Plum. I tend to hop around a bit when it comes to blush (brands, formulas, etc), but I keep coming back to this one. It's matte, and while doesn't look all that hot in the pan, it looks fabulous on the face.

  4. MAC Bronzing Powder in Refined Deeper Bronze. I didn't really think I needed bronzer way back when (my logic was that I already have a natural tan, so why bronze?), but a MUA totally changed my mind about that last year. It looks great all year round, and especially in the summertime (I look all fierce and glowy in all my pictures from last summer). When I put it on I use a brush similar to MAC's 187 (I've yet to spring for that one), and pretty much apply it in a "3" motion, going from my forehead area (but NOT on the forehead), to my cheekbone, to my jawline area if that makes sense. I put a little on my nose and chin as well...you pretty much want to put it where ever the sun usually kisses your face.

  5. Maybelline Stiletto Lash Mascara. Don't ever let anybody tell you that you can't find some good cosmetics up in the Drugstore/Walmart/Target (Those are the only places that I'll purchase my mascara. I just don't see the point in spending a ton of money on a product I have to replace so frequently - Every 3 months for those of you who weren't sure - and this works just fine for me. I've tried expensive ones like Diorshow, MAC's Fibre Rich, and BadGal by Benefit, but I always come back to the drug store stuff). This is probably one of, if not the best drugstore mascaras I've ever used. It doesn't really clump, it gives me some length, and it gives me results I'm happy with.

  6. CoverGirl Smoothers Concealer in Medium. I use it under my eyes to conceal those pesky dark circles from time to time, and under my brows to highlight. It's fab, and when I can find perfectly good, inexpensive products, I see no reason to spring for the more expensive stuff. I would know haha, I've been around the block a few times when it comes to cosmetics.

  7. MAC Fluidline. A friend of mine from school is a MUA at MAC, and she got me hooked on this when the Amuse Collection came out years ago. It lasts, and not only does it work amazingly with an angle eyeliner brush (like the 266!), it makes a great eye shadow base, cream eye shadow, ANDD you can even use it on your brows. If you haven't tried them yet, go to your local MAC source ASAP and do so.

  8. MAC Cream Color Base in Hush. I wrote a review about it a bit ago, and I continue to stand by it. It's great for highlighting my cheekbones, and highlighting the inner corner of my eyes. Don't sleep on this one. I don't use a brush to apply it (some people elect to), I prefer to use my fingers.

  9. Too Faced Shadow Insurance. It's a great eye shadow primer, and it helps my eye shadow to stay in place longer than it would w/o it. A little goes a long way (the size of a rain drop covers the entire lid, you'll know you used too much if your lids looks ashy), and I don't find the product ingredients to be too objectionable.

  10. MAC Eye shadows. So many different finishes, highly pigmented, and honestly, save one or two (literally) they're the only eye shadows I own. I'm seriously going to have to start buying them in pan form, and then get the empty palettes so I have room for them all.
Wow, now that I look at this, maybe I should of called it my "Top 10 MAC List."
Stylishly Yours,
Ms. Fab
