Review: MAC's Cream Color Base in Hush

Ciao Bellas,
I've used quite a few highlighting products in my day, and lately I've been on the lookout for one I'd be inclined to use faithfully. While making my blog rounds, I came across a post on Spoiled Pretty about the wonder that is MAC's Cream Color Base in Hush. After reading her rave about it, I made a mental note to check it out eventually. Then Danielle over at The Style and Beauty Doctor recommended it in her tutorial for a Women of Color friendly Victoria's Secret Fashion Show Look (btw I tried it out today using Posey Blushcreme, Blitz and Glitz Fluidline, Amber Lights and Vanilla eye shadows. I took it down a notch to make it more of an everyday look, and oo it looked fierce!), and when 2 beauty and style guru's bring something up, you know it's worth checkin' out. As a pre b-day treat (my birthday was on Saturday) my mom purchased it for me, and it's love. Originally I swatched Hush, Improper Copper, and Fawntastic (I think that's the name) on my hand, and while all 3 are nice, Hush is what I really wanted. For those of your that aren't familiar with the CCB's, you can pretty much use them on your eyes, lips or cheeks (and they can be applied with a sponge, brush, or using your fingers...which is my preferred method). Some colors aren't safe for certain areas, so check first (Hush happens to be one of the colors that are safe for all areas). It's def great to use for highlighting the cheekbones, and absolutely amazing for use in the inner corners of the eyes (on the lips it was a little frosty for me...not in an overwhelming way, but I'm just not a fan of frost finishes on my lips). On the inner corners of my eyes, it def added that extra BAM! factor to my look...I honestly can't say enough about it. Next time you visit MAC, def check this bad boy out.

Stylishly Yours,
Resa Seyi
