Review: Ile de Tahiti Hua'I Coconut Scrub

Ciao Bellas,
After finding out that my beloved VS Secret Garden Body Scrub has been discontinued (The horror! It worked so well, and how could you beat the price?), I was left to venture out on the quest for a new one. I started at what seemed like the most logical (and closest) place at the time, Bath and Body Works. After trying out a few scrubs in the store, and being assisted by an associate, I was starting to think I might have more searching to do. At first I was thinking about trying out the True Blue Spa "There's the Rub Salt Glow with Natural Sea Salt" scrub...but the associate mentioned that while it works well, if you have any open cuts or things of that nature it'll sting. Next she recommended that I try the "Need a Margarita Citrus Body Scrub." It was a Saturday night, and I was going to Church the next morning. Call me silly, but I really didn't think it was a smart idea to go up in Church smelling like Margaritas. Somewhat disappointed and about to leave the store, I noticed the Ile de Tahiti display. It looked appealing, so I picked up the Hua'I Coconut Scrub and tried it out. It's not quite as coarse as what I'm used to, it's more along the lines of like...fine sand grains. After working in it some before rinsing off, my skin def feels all soft, smooth, and moisturized. I just don't have that same scrubbed clean feeling that I've become accustomed to. Tis $18.50 for a 6.7 oz tub (which I purchased almost a week ago), and I probably have enough left for another 2-3 uses (I use quite a bit of it every day). Overall it does it's job, leaving me with nice soft skin...but it's just not quite what I'm looking for (I'll be purchasing the eau de toilette around the summer time though, as it's a lovely scent for that time of year). It still receives my stamp of approval as a decent body scrub, and 3 gold shiny stars out of a possible 5.
Stylishly Yours,
Resa Seyi
