The Art of The Remix.

Ciao Bellas,

A lot of Holiday parties are coming up, and I want to some fun with my make up / try out new stuff so I've been recreating some looks I've seen online. I love a couple that I did recently, so I'm gonna break 'em down for y'all with my spin on it (though you get incredibly similar results). Before I did all of this I started with my usual face, and all of the following products are MAC unless stated otherwise.

Tip: It might help to apply some eye shadow primer before you get started.

Gabrielle Union Smokey Eye Look (The one with her hair all back in a ponytail. I've been rocking my hair like that for the past little bit, and since I'm often told I resemble her I thought I'd try it out):

The Red and Gold Sephora Holiday Look (I've been drooling over this ever since I saw it in an ad in Lucky Magazine. I toned it down a little bit, but you get the same effect tis just a little more wearable in my opinion):
  • Brassy Fluidline (I got this awhile ago, I don't see it on the site right now so it could of been LE) from the crease to the lash line (I just used my finger)

  • The gold side of the Heat/Element Mineralized Eye Shadow Duo on top of where you applied Brassy (I used the BE Light Stroke Brush, but again I *think* the MAC 217 will do the same job)

  • The Rust side of Heat / Element on the rest of your lid (using the same brush as used in the previous step). Blend where it meets with the gold.

  • Illusionary (the gold side) from the Illusionary / Burning Ambition Duo under the brow bone (blend!) and in the tear duct.

  • Mascara

  • Reavealing Lipglass, and a little of Goldensoft Lipgelle over that.

Keep in mind that you might have to adjust some colors for your skin tone (I'm Golden Dark in BE, and NC45-50 in MAC products so I used what worked for me). Let me know if y'all try them out, and I'll post more looks as I continue to play around with my makeup.
Stylishly Yours,
Ms. Fabulosity
