Word on the street...

Ciao Bellas,
Sorry for the delay with the word on the street (but you all can't be too mad right? I have been bringing you looks of the day...), I've been a little busy lately, but there's lots to tell now cause chile the streets been talking....

I'm sure by now a lot of you have heard of the Stand Up To Cancer telethon/benefit (if not, you've probably at least heard the "Just Stand Up" song/theme sung by stars like Beyonce, Miley Cyrus, Mariah Carey, Leona Lewis, Natasha Bedingfield, Rhianna, Keyshia Cole, and more. Think like Micheal Jacksons We Are the World kinda deal...a little before my time, but I know things haha) which is raising money to fund Cancer Research. I think it's fabulous (and I plan on going to med school to work in this field), and so is this STAR necklace (designed by Jennifer Meyer) being sold from which all net proceeds go to Stand Up To Cancer. Prices range from $250 for a silver star, to $3250 for a diamond version. It's a great cause, and a fierce way to show your support {Off The Rack}.

Chris Brown has created a line of 6 exclusively designed New Era caps, featuring different designs and cartoon like characters. They feature stuff like a foot smashing a radio (which he says represents undeniable music, and the rebel in you), and his alto ego character (think the Kiss Kiss music video) available at lids.com. {Off The Rack}

Hippie Chic, Open toe shoe boots, Jumpsuits (I'm not gonna lie, I'm kinda souped about this cause I wanted to jump on the romper bandwagon), Oh my! The Fashion Bomb has the scoop on some of the trends from the Spring '09 New York Fashion Week.

According to Flats and Frappuccino's winged eye liner is a big beauty trend from Fashion Week. I have almond shaped eyes, so this is how I usually wear mine...methods of choice being either MAC Fluidline + Angle Eyeliner Brush (I think I need to get a new one actually...most likely the 266 brush from MAC), or MAC's liquid last eyeliner. I was browsing the new products online at Sephora a bit ago, and came across this product called "Cat Eyes" eye liner by Pop beauty. It's pretty much like an eyeliner pencil, with the shape of an angle liner brush. Spiffy idea right? The description on the site says you "simply press into the skin following along the lash line and the flick will automatically appear perfectly formed and exactly the same on each eye. " So it sounds like a great idea for people who have a bit of trouble achieving the winged out look. What say you?

Gwen Stefani (under her L.A.M.B clothing line) will be launching an exclusive line of workwear for W hotels . Starting this fall all the ladies will be rocking black jersey dresses with a fitted 80's silhouette, '60s seam detailing and side vents, and asymmetrical styling. Now thats my kind of uniform! {Off The Rack}

Stylishly Yours,
Ms. Fabulosity
