Review: Fabulosity for JcPenney by Kimora Lee Simmons

Greetings Dahlings,
So as you all know, I've reallllly been looking forward to the Fabulosity for JcPenney line by our girl Kimora. I happened to be in JcPenney's a couple of days ago, and some of the stuff was out (not all of it though, a few tops, and some jeans on some random racks at the back of the Juniors section. I was in total disbelief and had to walk through there twice. Hopefully now everything is set up all pretty the way it's supposed to be). I tried on a pair of jeans, and an orange polo (which was cute, but too 12 or 13 for me). Now, I picked up my regular size in the jeans with the gold flecks (which according to the JcPenney's website is the same inseam as the Baby Phat jeans) and tried them on. I got them on, but they sure weren't comfortable. I went back to the display, and got the the next 2 sizes up. The next one up didn't fit right, and made my behind look weird. The other size after that was ok in most areas, but didn't fit my waist (twas all baggy and un-cute). So, I'm assuming that this line uses a juniors cut, while Baby Phat allows for womanly curves. I looked through the rest of the shirts that were on display (all 5), and I just wasn't thrilled. Overall, to me Fabulosity for Jcpenney seems like the little sister brand to Baby Phat. Just out of the Baby Phat Girlz section, not quite ready for Baby Phat...it's more for the middle school set. Now I do intend on having another look around once things are set up properly to see if anything might work for me (cause you never know), but right now it's looking like I'm too grown for it. No problem though, that just means I'll be swinging that money towards the Baby Phat fall collection instead. So in short, if you happen to have a younger sister, cousin, or something in middle school or jr. high who's going back to school shopping...chances are she'll love the Fabulosity for JcPenney line.

Rating: 1 1/2 Stars. It's ok, just not for anybody over like...14ish.

Stylishly Yours,
Resa Seyi
