Workout Chic Part One: Footworkin'

Greetings Dahlings,
Recently I've decided to get back into kick boxing, start hitting the track..and re-learn to play football. All of which means that getting a pair of sneakers had made it's way onto my list of things to accomplish this summer.

I'm a fan of Run's House, and I'd seen the pastry kicks that Vanessa and Angela design, so I figured I'd look there (after looking at some Nikes...and I wasn't all that thrilled). Sneakers are foreign territory to me, I seriously only own one pair. Oh, and a pair of cons from when I broke my toe last year. Anyway, I was looking at the Pastry Kicks's website and I felt absolutely lost. My cousin owns a pair, but she'd worn them more as a fashion statement so I wasn't sure what I was supposed to do with them. Wear them out, or work out? After asking a few friends (which like myself weren't sure), I texted my cousin. She informed me that their both, but were originally designed as workout sneaks that are cute. Fabulous! I've since fallen in love with the gold sugar sprinkles sneakers...er, kicks. I also liked the idea of customizing my own Puma Mongolian Bbq sneakers. Until I actually tried it. They just showed me pieces of the sneaker randomly on a tray, so I had no idea what was what. Those pastry kicks are looking better and better...

Of course there's more to workout chic than sneakers, so stay tuned for Part II focusing on the actual workout wear.

Stylishly Yours,
Ms. Fabulosity
